What a difference a new screen makes

Well its not new new, but new to me (if you know what I mean lol). But WOW!!!!! I knew my old screen was crappy but its amazing what you get used to. I'm kinda missing the flickering pink/purple screen with the blurry letters. Oh and it was really really dark, that now I can actually see things when people send me stuff! Fantastic. It is a second because it has two tiny itsy bitsy little pixels that are aparently 'dead' LOL But you can't really see them unless you go looking for them and they are over to the side of the screen. Lovely jubely meant that this almost brand new screen was half price. So gone is the big TV shaped-take-up-the-whole-of-my-computer-desk, and in its place is this lovely flat LCD screen. There is so much room that it looks out of place. I had to stop hubby from getting out the chainsaw and chopping off the top shelf of the desk LOL.

Off to do some surfing and admire the colours of the internet.

Does anyone know

or am I just abit duh??????? Is there a way of going directly from my blog to creating a new post, instead of having to go to blogspot.com?????? anyone?????

Thanks

Busy fun weekend

Firstly........thanks to those of you who were worried about Cheeky the jeep. She is fine and now resting at home LOL In fact she is even better than fine!!!!!! They not only found the gremlins (nasty little things) but also fixed the alarm and as an added bonus, the electric windows now work!!!!!!!!! So all in all, we are very pleased. And a huge thanks to the auto electricians for taking so much care, I know it was tough at times and I apologise for any swearing that you may have experienced whilst searching for the gremlins LOL

I have just had an awesome weekend. Firstly some Kiwipeas (friends) arrived from down south for the SENZ expo. We had an awesome dinner on Friday night (blimey the meals were HUGE and the desserts was obscene) but we did our best. LOL I did pay for it though with indigestion all night LOL I will also not need (or crave) another piece of chocolate fudge cake for a very very long time. Completely off the ww train!!!!!!!!!

Then on Saturday we spent the day together shopping!!!!! wahoooooooo and scrap shopping too. What a better way to spend the day. LOL Found some awesome little goodies and I got most of the things on my little list. My bargain buy would have to be a Fiskars triple track cutter that I got for only $19.95!!!!!!! We were so sure that it was incorrect but thats what the lady charged me. Couldn't pass that one up!!!!!!! They are usually twice that price and the cheapest one that we had found was $29. So I am going to 'gift' my old grey 'had a very hard life' Fiskars cutter to the girls to use when they are 'scrapping' with me. I also got the new Fiskars sissors which I have been wanting for some time. Heaps of paper ......... I love the new wild asparagrass paper and of course a scrap shopping trip wouldn't be complete without letter stickers and ribbon.

Then a few of us went to buy some cheap jeans (check out Nics blog) and I bought some that were a size smaller and also a size that I haven't been in about 10 years!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooooo wrapped!!!!!!!!! So a very very good Saturday.

Saturday night was spent with family from down the line, at my BIL's 40th birthday bash and then today we had a family brunch. Its so nice for the cousins to play together and they are two little girls almost the same age, so just perfect. And to top it all off, after another week of wet yuck, we have had two gorgeous days, and we got a little sunburnt today. (plus 5 loads of washing got dry on the line instead of the dryer LOL)

I am a little worried

The Jeep shat itself the other day and was rushed into the care of the auto electrician yesterday morning. I have to say that I am a little concerned for its welfare, as the poor thing had to stay overnight and they were operating again first thing this morning when I dropped off a light that had been disconected in an effort to solve the problem LOL (thanks hubby) I am afraid of the gremlins that are hiding in the wiring. I'm sure there must be some that are running around unplugging things as fast at the mechanic is fixing them. Ho hum All I can hope is that the problem isn't terminal. I am missing my jeep. Not that I use it everyday but I could if I needed too. LOL The bathrooms have coped the bulk of my frustration and worry and are now sparkling clean, walls included. LOL

Bathurst

Was anyone watching it?????? Wasn't there a time there in the last 20 odd laps where it was 'sit on the edge of your seat, nail biting, yelling at the tv'. LOL Well it was for me and I can still say there is a very heated debate going on in our house over who was at fault in the big accident. Murphy....... Ambrose?????????? If you guys are reading this (yeah like V8 drivers have nothing better to do than hang around and blog LOL) then what the HECK was that all about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You idiots!!!!!!!!!!! You're supposed to take out the 'team red' cars!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUH Not each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rain Rain go AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Rain!!!!! Give it up. Tomorrow is the first day of term 4 so now that you have managed to dampen the whole of the holidays, it is time for you to pack up and go home. please!!!!!!!!!! I am so sick of rain, even the garden doesn't need anymore LOL

Tomorrow is going to be a rather busy day. I am helping my sister out by making handmade thank you cards for their wedding photography business. Its kinda fun and the design is very simple. I have just finished the front of the 100 cards when she rings me to say that they are now looking for a further 200!!!!! Wahoo, good for business but does she realise how hard it was to find 30 meters of a particular type of ribbon??????? Luckily I am heading up near Spotlight tomorrow so will be able to go and see if they have anymore. But I need 60 meters so am not holding out much hope. Ah well

Oh and we have a mystery gremlin in the jeep. Nearly every morning when we go out to start it the damn things is flat. Battery is less then 6 months old and I have had the sparky guy check everything else. So now there are no easy (read inexpensive) answers and I am going to have to book it in for a full electrical check up. Ho hum. Looks like its bye bye fruit, veges and ww and hello 2 min noodles and mince LOL Its just one of those things where you know it is going to cost a fortune!!!!!!! So fingers crossed that I can get it booked in and looked at quickly and also that they find the problem fast and its easy (inexpensive) to fix!!!!!!!!!!! Vehicles..........who'd have them. Lets just all walk - only problem is that I would never be able to get 6yr old DD out the door on time for school. LOL

Time flies

when you are extra busy with the school holidays. And isn't is just typical that the weather has been rather crappy. Although Thurs and Friday weren't too bad, but we have had non stop rain ever since, well it feels that way LOL And the lovely weather forecaster this evening is predicting rain for the second week of the holidays. Ho hum Come on Spring, daylight savings has started....................where are you????????

Anyway. Thursday weigh in went really well. Bye bye another kilo. I was reading it upside down and thought that I had only lost 400grms. I couldn't believe how dissapointed I felt for that split second!!!!!! I mean 400grms is great, but I know I have a long way to go yet. I then came home and checked my measurements to see where the 3.2kg has gone from. Well fancy that it comes off your chest first!!!!!!!!!! Why is that?????? *sob* Why not off my big fat butt? LOL

Hubby and I and number 2 went out for dinner tonight for the first time in ages. It was amazing how guilty I felt looking at the menu. I was hoping for a nice salad with grilled chicken or fish, but they didn't really have anything. I opted for the fish of the day, not realising that it would come covered in a butter and lemon sauce. I paniced a little (silly really) and tried to stay away from the sauce on the plate. Counted up my points later and realised that I was ok. But still felt the guilt!!!!!! LOL

Anyway off to watch the NRL Grandfinal, if I can stay awake that long.
