My life is ..........
I'm a SAHM with two gorgeous girls, a wonderful hubby and contented cat. I thought life was busy enough but then I got introduced to scrapping and blogging, and now there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done LOL

The day after the day after Christmas LOL
Christmas day started about 5.49am in our house. Although I told Isobel to go back to bed for a little while. Then the mother guilt got to me so got out of bed about 6.15am and we had to wake Jess. She was still asleep and so excited that Santa had come that we had to sit for a cuddle for awhile and watch Isobel open pressies. Once the Santa sacks had been emptied and a cuppa had been had, we then started on the pressies under the tree. Isobel loves her new bike, even after taking her to the bike shop and making sure we got the right size she still got a surprise when she opened it. LOL Too cute. And Jess is loving her new blackboard/paintboard easel. Then it was breaky, a trip to wish Benn a Merry Christmas and then on to Omie and Opies for more pressies. I had to rush to the loo when we arrived and by the time I got back to the lounge it was already half covered in wrapping paper LOL. After that we went to Granny and Grandads for more pressies and lunch. Here are a few pics. I love this one of Granny and Isobel and also the one of Jess waiting so patiently for Grandad to hand her a pressie to open. After lunch we played a little golf (Chrissy golf involves about 3 golfclubs each and a six pack lol). We had a great day.

My sleigh is in the North Island!!!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!! It crossed the straight early yesterday morning and is at present sitting in the transporters yard in Paikakariki, which is about 7-8 hours drive away. I seriously thought about flying down yesterday and driving it back. I even checked out the flights to Wellington ($256 one way!!!!!!!!) But hey! Would have had my truck. The only things that stopped me was the fact that it was so blimmen windy yesterday the plane may have ended up in the Chattams LOL, oh and the fact that there wasn't going to be anyone at the yard by the time I could get there cause they were all going on holiday!! Oh yeah and the thought of driving thru the holiday traffic. mmmmmmmmmmm So here I am waiting patiently for my pressie LOL They have promised that it will be leaving first thing Wednesday morning (when they all go back to work) and should be on our doorstep some time late that afternoon. Christmas is just going to go on for an extra few days this year LOL
Well Santa arrives tonight and the girls are already very excited. We have a few things to do today, like giving toffee parcels to the neighbours, so hoping to keep them busy.
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!! Hope you all enjoy your family time.

Santas Sleigh is broken
and I am extremely bummed!!!!! My new truck is somewhere but not here and definately wont be here before Christmas. *sigh* Sad I know but I am so looking forward to driving it. I have this thing about cars. I'm not a petrolhead (well maybe just a little), or a grease monkey or any of those things. But I do appreciate a nice car and I like the design and interior of them. Whats under the hood is ok but doesn't rock my socks LOL Unless it is a V8 comming at me at 200 miles/hr down the back straight at Puke LOL mmmmmmmmmmmm maybe I am a closet petrolhead LOL
Hubby chose the last few vehicles (namely cause he went looking when I was either very pregnant or had a new born LOL) So this one is mine. Yes he found it (credit where credit is due lol) but I gave him instructions on what I wanted.
*sigh* off to stare at a picture of it LOL

update from me
Gosh things have got so crazy. I have taken on a typing job from home in the evenings and that has really said goodbye to any scrapping time that I may have had LOL So now it is kids all day and typing all night. Nice to know I am contributing to the finances LOL So hubby went straight out and bought me a new truck. Well, new to me anyway. It is on a transporter somewhere between Dunedin and here (for anyone outside of NZ - about a 3-4 day drive, including crossing on the ferry). Its beautiful and I just can't wait for it to arrive. Cheeky is nuts and bolts and the new truck is whistles and bells LOL. Can't wait. Will be on the phone later today to see where it is and fingers crossed that it will arrived in time for hubby to put a big fat bow on it for Chrissy.
School finishes today at lunchtime. Wahooo the kids have 7 (or is it 9) weeks off. Nice long holiday. Not sure if I will have any hair left at the end of it tho LOL. Also I am so proud of my big girl. She won an award at prizegiving on Monday night. Only 4 awards per class. She got it for kindness, sense of humour and attitude towards schoolwork. Very very proud mummy!!!!!!!! Just wish number two DD hadn't managed to fiddle with the buttons on the camera so I actually missed the best shots of her receiving it LOL
Chrissy shopping was officially finished on Monday and that was a relief!!!!!! Just the supermarket to negotiate now and thats just normal grocery items.
BRING ON SANTA. I am ready LOL
Merry Christmas to you all

Three little words
UPDATE YOUR BLOG!!!!!!!!!!! LOL So here is my update ladies LOL
Well the silly season is well and truely upon us and the last few weeks have got soooooooooo busy. I have taken on a part-time job as well, doing dictatyping from home in the evenings. Which means more money for scrapping but less time to surf the web, scrap shop and blog. Not sure if it was such a good idea LOL. The girls have been very busy with the end of Ballet plus the performance (Isobel was a dragonfly and I must say she was the best dragonfly up there - not biased at all lol), and then various Christmas party breakups for Kindy and music etc, with coffeegroups and last minute Christmas shopping thrown in for good measure. Oh and a baby shower next week.
Went to my local scrapping crop today and we had a ball. Thanks ladies for making it such a fun time. I really look forward to my 'day off' and a big catch up with everyone. Managed to get an album sorted out, one layout completed, another started, and about 10 takeout boxes made and ready to fill with Christmas treats. Oh and the canvas class which was very cool. Thanks Lianne. Back on the ww diet tomorrow tho after eating my way thru a few lollies and a couple of bits of yummy scrummy pizza. Thanks for an awesome day ladies.
Right off to do some work and then collapse into bed. Altho the humidity meter is right up there tonight and it is extremely sticky.
